WordPress.com got hacked

The Automattic guys got hacked, they are the guys behind the WordPress Blogging Software, WordPress.com and Vaultpress. The servers were hacked which means the hackers probably have passwords for all blogs running under wordpress.com, if you have a blog running on WordPress I recommend changing your password as soon as possible. The full details of the breach is not known, even though passwords are encrypted on the server if the hackers have them stored they can be decoded.
Automattic is a company that displays professionalism so this will be sorted and prevention will be in place in case it happens again. It really stinks to get hacked and any webmaster will tell you it is not an easy task to undo what a hacker has done, as a prevention method of having unauthorized personnels accessing your blog, we recommend that you use a strong password and use the utilities to test your password’s strength while setting the new one.
