Twitter! Social Media or Marketing Tool?

I am sure that when the owners of Twitter came up with Ideas they were thinking of a way to keep friends connected, but now bloggers are using the social media website as a marketing tool and money maker for their blogs. I know you are there wondering how the hell they use Twitter to make money? Well I was thinking that too but after reading a few post it is fairly easy and should really make you some money once you have a good amount a followers.

Ever since I started this blog in December 2008 it has been a really great way of socializing, after each post I am getting alot of emails but the visitors never seem to leave comments, I guess they rather sending emails lol. The post that got the most emails was the “Juici Patty Post“. Anyhow back to how you can use twitter to make money.

Make Money With Twitter

This is what they have been doing, You know in twitter you get to set your status and add a URL to a page from your blog. Now the bloggers who use the service like John Chow. Remember the URL is cloaked behind a shorten URL service so when you place your affiliate sign up links on there, your followers who normally click on them will sign up for what ever service thus making you a buck or two. Twitter Is a Money Maker

Yes, you can make money with Twitter. But like everything else, you have to present the right offer that is targeted at your followship (hey, I made a new word!). If you just spam your Twitter list with stuff your followship is not interested in, you can expect to lose them. Also, your offer needs to be priced right.

I feel the reason Twitter did so well in this test was the price of the product was so low. At $27, the Ultimate Footer Ad was pretty much an impulse purchase. However, were it to cost $270, I doubt it would have resulted in many sales. It’s pretty hard to do a presell with only 140 characters.
