For a few months, RIM’s Blackberry devices has held the number one spot overall in Smartphone sales, well the recent announcement made by Google’s CEO Eric Schmidt has coem to the forefront to give us a little bit of information regarding actual Android sales thus cementing the fact that Android Devices has managed to oust Research in Motion’s BlackBerry handset line up.
This is certainly bad news for both Apple and RIM, however there are possibilities that either of the companies could reclaim the number one spot soon, seeing as Blackberry recently announced its Blackberry 6 platform along with its new and anticipated torch 9800 slider phone and the fact that Apple Devices are no longer illegal to jailbreak, thanks to the recent court ruling and JailbreakMe.com for making the steps fool-proof.
According to Google’s CEO, “about 200,000 Android devices are being sold every single day which is up from 100,000 sold daily 2 months ago an 60,000 sold daily back in April.”
Right now I have only own Smartphones running the BB OS, so whats so sweet about the Android OS why handsets running the Google Mobile Platform is gaining so much fame?
