If you have an iPad and visits Facebook on a daily basis, then we have some very disappointing news to dish out today. If you have been using your iPad for a while on Facebook, then it is safe to assume that you have grown fond of the pinch to zoom function that the iPad offers, it zooms your friends photos so you can see the photos more clearly instead of straining your eyes to see the standard size on the iPad’s 10-inch screen.
Well the bad news is that, the Pinch and Zoom feature has been disabled. Bummer! Meaning now you are stucked with the standard sized photos when browsing photos on Facebook using the Apple iPad.
According to TUAW, the Pinch and Zoom feature has been disabled due to a new line of code they have added, which reads:
meta name=”viewport” content=”width=device-width; initial-scale=1.0; maximum-scale=1.0; user-scalable=0;”
So if you are a tech geek who is famimeta name=”viewport” content=”width=device-width; initial-scale=1.0; maximum-scale=1.0; user-scalable=0;”lar with HTML and application programing then you will know that the culprit causing the problem is the “user-scalable=0″ tag.
Pocket-lint is saying that this maybe, because Facebook is getting ready to launch an official iPad app, and this could be their marketing point for the new app.
