According to this new study, British Facebook Users really love their booze, it shows that the average British person is under the influence of alcohol in three-quarters of of his or her tagged Facebook photos. In the new study, Researchers asked British people to reveal how many of their photos on Facebook that showed them drinking alcohol or were taken after consuming alcohol and it was concluded that approximately 76% of their photographs had some connection with alcohol.

“We’re all guilty of going out and having a good time, but nowadays the photos inevitably catch up with us online, so we wanted to look at how much these photos dominate our presence on social media sites,” says Rebecca Huggler, co-founder of MyMemory, which conducted the study.

Researchers also looked at their privacy setting. Only 12% of the 1,781 Facebook users who were polled don’t allow anyone to see their photos, while 58% let friends view their pics. A substantial 26% gave access to anyone.

More than half (56%) admit they had “drunk photos” they wouldn’t want co-workers to see and 8% say their photos might cause “serious trouble at work.” An astonishing 93% of the subjects have untagged photos deemed “too embarrassing.” In my opinion some people don’t put embarrassing photos of social networking sites as they want to portray that they are in a league way above them while some users only seem to upload degrading photos.

What about your Facebook photos? Are you concerned about who views them and are they degrading to your character that you could loose your job?

Some of my readers and friends alike has asked the reason why I made a blog with my name as the url, they normally ask if it is because I want to gloat or stand out among others. The real reason behind KeronCalame.com is not to seem as an important web marketer or to seem more important than others but it is to offer help to young bloggers and Web Designers who wants to make a living or some cash on the side, because I know how hard it was when I was starting out. This post will give you all the know how to make an HTML welcome page to your facebook Fan page and increase the amount of “like” thus reaching more readers.

1. Add FBML app to your Fan Page: You do this by simple searching for “FBML” using the Facebook search bar or simple click this link: http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=4949752878. Go to the application and add it to your list of applications for your Fan page or if you have more than one page then select the one you are working with.

2. Open or go to the FBML app: Once you go to the FBML application, you do this by clicking the edit link on the top of your fanpage, then select app from the right side menu. Scroll through your list of applications and find the FBML application, edit and then you will see two fields: one with Box Title (put page title) and the other with FBML (put the url for the image you want to appear on your welcome page, like this <img src=”http://www.website.com/fb/image.jpg” alt=”" /> ) or design an HTML page add the HTML codes and save changes. Your welcome page should be up and ready to starting attracting fans, check out the latest one I did for one of my blogs here: http://www.facebook.com/LoopyComment?sk=app_4949752878

Ever since it happened, it has been a question running through my head on a daily basis, “Is Osama bin Laden really dead or he is in some secret prison being dosed with water and electricity?” The reason for these questions is knowning that after the US had captured Saddam Hussain, they gave him a trial and then hang him high for all to see.

The US’ interest in bin Laden was just as high as what they had for the Iraqi dictator, they hanged him but buried Bin Laden at sea and has no plans to release the photos of his dead body. In my opinion, I wouldn’t mind if he is dead or alive because he has done great injustice to the American people as well as the Muslim Faith. Because of him, almost everyone seems to think that Muslims are terrorist and took so many innocent lives.

So whether they have him impaling his ass in a underground cellar somewhere or he was actually shot in the head by a high-powered weapon, no one expect his followers will miss him.

This has been one of the topics that has been riding my curious mind ever since the first time I boarded an Airplane in 2008. There was also another one that I found the answer to by “Googling“, it you would like to know, as a curious sort of person I wanted to know, what was that liquid that flows rapidly from the Airplane just before it goes in to land. After doing a mini-research I found out that whenever a commercial aircraft is about to land, the pilot actually gets rid of the excess fluid. Reason for this is because it is so highly combustible that touching down an iron bird that weighs anywhere between 1000lbs to 500 tons with a filled tank is a ‘high risk‘ not worthy of taking when passengers lives are at stake.

My second question was why do they always tell you to power down electronic devices right before take off, it was always been an issue to me, because if it could cause the aircraft to fall from the sky I will punch the guy across the isle who is still listening to his iPod after he was told repeatedly to power off his device, no play with my life now because you just want to listen to your favorite album.

Well I found out why hostesses tell you to power off electronic devices before take off and it is basically for more than one reason. Firstly it is their job and they are required to do it based on Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) laws, it is somewhat necessary as it make sure passengers listen to the safety instructions from the flight attendants, it also reduces the presence of loose objects getting in the way in case there is an emergency and with the consumer electronic industry growing so rapidly, it also eliminates the possibilities of any devices interfering with the aircraft’s avionics equipments. For some passengers who are hard headed, you can be kicked off the flight if you do not adhere to the attendants.

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) states that electronic devices must be powered off and stay off under 10,000 feet since the take off and landing of an aircraft are the most critical parts of a flight. Well now I know all a that information and so do you if you just read all that I wrote. Until my next article is published am off to blog about gadgets and celebrity gossips, that’s what pays the bills, pays pretty good too. Am Keron Calame and remember to follow me on Facebook, I’m a friend indeed.

Well I just found out about WordPress VIP, it is a specially service offered by WordPress to Blogs that get heavy daily traffic, you know the sites that gets thousands/millions of viewers each day and rake in the big advertising revenues.

Apparently one of the blogs has finally start to get some heavy traffic and because of that I have been experiencing some outages, error and all sort of mishaps that will mess up just about anyone’s day. I recently upgraded to a private server which means, I am no longer having bandwidth problems but I am still experience error now and then from WordPress Platform.

Because of this I was recommended to check out WordPress VIP. What these guys (the same guys that developed WordPress) do is that they monitor your Blog, Recommend you to the best Plugins available and offers on time support whenever you have problems.

When I heard this, I said to myself “This could be a great thing, now I can pay attention to making the Big Box and stop working about fix my heavy traffic blogs.”

Well it turns out that the WordPress VIP Support Team don’t charge cheaply. They offer 5 different support options, the cheapest is $5,000 for 15 business days all the way to the most expensive at a whopping $150,000 per year. I have no idea when I am gonna start making $150,000 USD per year, so for now I just have to bare with the excess work and post here when I find the time. Now I know why only the big companies like CNN, Flickr and Red Hat uses the service.

According to Nielsen, Users of the internet spends more time on Facebook than Google, Yahoo or any other website, Well its not surprizing as Facebook has over 500 million active users. Now according to comScore, U.S. Web surfers are spending more time socializing on Facebook than searching with Google, according to new data from the researchers.

According to the results of a research in August, people spent a total of 41.1 million minutes on Facebook, which is approximately 9.9 percent of their Web-surfing minutes for the month while they spend 39.8 million minutes, or 9.6 percent of their time on Google, including Youtube, Gmail and Google News.

U.S. Web users spent 37.7 million minutes on Yahoo Inc. sites, or 9.1 percent of their time, putting Yahoo third in terms of time spent browsing. In July, Facebook crept past Yahoo for the first time, according to comScore.

Well comScore only counts the web surfers in the US, so we are not sure about globally but pretty sure the results will show that Facebook users spend a huge amount of time on the site.

If you are a fan of Mashable then you will know that awesome bar that they got to the left of each post, well the guys over at DevGrow has developed a Plugin that does the just the same thing for your WordPress Blog.

The Plugin will add a dynamic and fully customizable vertical box to the left of a blog post that contains links/buttons to popular social networking sites. The plugin comes pre-loaded with buttons for Social Networking Sites including Digg, Tweetmeme, Facebook Share and Google Buzz. The great thing about this plugin is that you can delete all the pre-loaded buttons and add your own like the new Twitter Button.

Big Buttons are used in the vertical Sharebar to the left of the post, while the Small Buttons are used in the horizontal Sharebar that appears under the post title (by default) if the width of the page is less than 1000px (or whatever value you set).

The best thing about Sharebar is the ability to shrink itself into a small horizontal bar under the post title if the user’s screen is less than 1000px. Also, the plugin just works from the moment you activate it. The Plugin is presently available for download in the WordPress Plugin Directory. I know you probably saying if it is so great why isn’t it on this blog, well give me sometime to get it up because I am trying to make it look as custom as possible for my blog.
