Here’s a parody of the Movie “300” in which King Leonidas and only three hundred of his men slaughtered most the Persian army. If you already seen this movie, then you know that the king was killed along with his men but they put up an unbelievable fight. Starz Media LLC has a channel on YouTube where they do Cartoon Parodies of popular movie titles and they did this one titled “How 300 Should Have Ended“.

The parody is pretty funny and if you have seen the movie it’s guaranteed to have you laughing or smiling atleast. The channel on YouTube is called HISHE and they do parodies of just about every hit movie. These guys are very talented, I subscribed to the channel and see just about every video that they have uploaded so far.

Apple has decided to offer its customers in Japan that has suffered direct damages to their Apple hardware as a result of the Earthquake and Tsunami the chance to receive free repairs. The company posted the update on their Japanese website but there is a catch, it will only be offered to customers living in areas covered by Japan’s Ministry of Health’s Disaster Relief Act.

Apple is also offering its free repairs to iPod Touch as other players such as the iPod classic, nano and shuffle are excluded. The offer was quietly added to the company’s Japanese website in March, and it is exclusively for the customers affected by the massive earthquake and tsunami that took place on March 11, 2011. It runs until June 30th so customers affected by the natural disasters are being reminded to make use of the offer as soon as possible.

There is no other words to describe the mom that drove her mini-van with her family into the Hudson River. There were four children in the van with her but only one managed to save himself, City of Newburgh police divers found the bodies of the mother, identified as Lashandra Armstrong, 25; two boys, ages 5 and 2; and an 11-month-old girl inside the van Tuesday night.

A 10-year-old boy escaped from his mother’s minivan after she drove into the Hudson River with three of his siblings, drowning them Tuesday night, police said Wednesday morning. City of Newburgh police divers found the bodies of the mother, identified as Lashandra Armstrong, 25; two boys, ages 5 and 2; and an 11-month-old girl inside the van Tuesday night.

At a news conference Wednesday morning, police said Armstrong’s 10-year-old son, Lashaun Armstrong, opened a window of the minivan and escaped after his mother drove off a boat ramp. He worked his way to shore and then was picked up by a passer-by, who took him to the fire station nearby.

Divers found the minivan under the water, several yards away from the shore. The boat ramp is just south of Gully’s Restaurant at the foot of Washington Street. Armstrong and the children were already dead when divers found them. At Wednesday’s news conference, the three children who drowned were identified asLandon Pierre, 5;
Lance Pierre, 2; and Lainaina Pierre, 11 months. The father of the three children was identified as Jean Pierre, 26.

“It’s a horrible sight, all of them in the car,” City of Newburgh police Chief Michael Ferrara said Tuesday night. Ferrara said it appears that the drowings were related to a call about a domestic dispute at 7:43 p.m. Tuesday at 53 William St., Apt. 2.

The alert was called in by an aunt of Armstrong, who told police she heard “tussling” in the background. The aunt told police Armstrong had a history of domestic problems with Jean Pierre, the father of three of her children.

Police have not said who else was involved in the domestic dispute and the motive for Armstrong’s actions is unclear. Officials have spoken with Pierre, but no charges have been leveled as yet. Police were unable to reach anyone at the apartment.

About 8 p.m., Lashaun Armstrong showed up at the fire station and reported that his mother had driven
their vehicle into the river. Lashaun is staying with a female relative, police said.

A downstairs neighbor on Williams Street, Jim Simeon, said a woman and her small children lived upstairs but he’d never spoken to them.

He’d often heard the sounds of children playing come through the ceiling. “The kids play, but not fighting,” Simeon said. “It’s terrible.” He said he heard nothing on Tuesday night.

Tangled is the funniest movie I have seen since 2011 started, I would say it is the funniest for 2010-2011 but I still haven’t seen Rango yet and I heard it is worth every dollar you pay to go see it. Tangled is another re-write of the Rapunzel fairy tale but they added Maximus to sweeten the whole experience. Basically the story still ends the same so I am not gonna go over that again but I will elaborate on the additions Walt Disney made to this Classical Tale.

Thinking about it, as a kid I heard the story so many time but I can’t remember no mention of Maximus the horse and he is one of the characters that spices up the tale with a lot of ear to ear grins. Another character that should be mentioned also is Rapunzel’s Cameleon that will have you atleast smiling if not laughing all the way to the end of the movie. You are probably wondering what type of review is this but there is nothing to tell as we all have seen or heard the story of Rapunzel almost a million times so all you need to do is go see it and enjoy the new added jaw breakers. There is no doubt that my next review won’t be about something funny but I am really wondering should I see that new alien movie “Paul” or “Rango” with voice-over by Johnny Depp? Help me to choose please..

Althought it was released back in 2002, I just got to see the entire movie. The Count of Monte Cristo is based on an adventure novel by Alexandre Dumas who gained fame from other popular work such as Three Musketeers. The story takes place in France, Italy between the years of 1815-1838. It is a historical adventure film that displays hatred, grudge, revenge, knowledge, hope and also despair.

The movie tells a story of a young sailor Edmond Dantes whose character is played by James Caviezel. Dantes is a guileless and honest man whose peaceful life took a sudden turn for the worst when his or who he thought to be his best friend Fernand (played by Guy Pearce) betrayed him because he wanted Dantes girlfriend Mercedes for himself. He was set up by Fernand and unlawfully sentenced to the infamous island prison of Chateau D’lf, he was there for thirteen years and to make it worst he got an annual beating which serves as a reminder of how many years he has been there. After many years Dantes finally escapes when his new friend the priest died after their years and years of preparing to escape. His friend the priest gave Dantes a map which led him to a lum sum of treasure and that was the birth of the Count of Monte Cristo and his plot for revenge against all who played a part in his years of sentence.

This is a real motivational movie but if you are not a movie person then you may want to get the book it is available in book paperback($10.20) and hard cover, or even buy the movie they are all available for less than $12.

This has been one of the topics that has been riding my curious mind ever since the first time I boarded an Airplane in 2008. There was also another one that I found the answer to by “Googling“, it you would like to know, as a curious sort of person I wanted to know, what was that liquid that flows rapidly from the Airplane just before it goes in to land. After doing a mini-research I found out that whenever a commercial aircraft is about to land, the pilot actually gets rid of the excess fluid. Reason for this is because it is so highly combustible that touching down an iron bird that weighs anywhere between 1000lbs to 500 tons with a filled tank is a ‘high risk‘ not worthy of taking when passengers lives are at stake.

My second question was why do they always tell you to power down electronic devices right before take off, it was always been an issue to me, because if it could cause the aircraft to fall from the sky I will punch the guy across the isle who is still listening to his iPod after he was told repeatedly to power off his device, no play with my life now because you just want to listen to your favorite album.

Well I found out why hostesses tell you to power off electronic devices before take off and it is basically for more than one reason. Firstly it is their job and they are required to do it based on Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) laws, it is somewhat necessary as it make sure passengers listen to the safety instructions from the flight attendants, it also reduces the presence of loose objects getting in the way in case there is an emergency and with the consumer electronic industry growing so rapidly, it also eliminates the possibilities of any devices interfering with the aircraft’s avionics equipments. For some passengers who are hard headed, you can be kicked off the flight if you do not adhere to the attendants.

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) states that electronic devices must be powered off and stay off under 10,000 feet since the take off and landing of an aircraft are the most critical parts of a flight. Well now I know all a that information and so do you if you just read all that I wrote. Until my next article is published am off to blog about gadgets and celebrity gossips, that’s what pays the bills, pays pretty good too. Am Keron Calame and remember to follow me on Facebook, I’m a friend indeed.

Gulliver’s Travels is a re-write of a classical novel with a modern day twist added just for our entertainment. Just like the story, you probably read the book because it was a requirement to move up a grade, like me or you are one of those curious type of people who loves to read, came accross the novel and read it. Gulliver travels accidentally takes him to the land of Lilliput where the natives are like two inches tall, just like the book, however in the movie Gulliver wears a T-shirt, Cargo Shorts and Converse plus to make it more modern, he has an iPhone.

Gulliver is a mail room clerk for ten years at a newspaper company, who later got demoted as head of the mailroom, all because he was too timid. To make life more depressing for this guy, he has a major crush on the travel writer for the Newspaper ever since he started to work in the company’s mailroom but he is too shy to talk to her. After plagerizing articles from the internet because he lied that he was a writer, he got sent out to investigate an alledged secret of the Bermuda Triangle. Ofcourse being at sea on route to the mythical Bermuda Triangle, his boat gets sucked in by a upward spiral wirlpool and bam, he is in the land of Lilliput, all tied up on a beach by two inches tall soldiers.

Being in Lilliput was like a new start for Gulliver, being a mere mailroom clerk he does have much of a life and adventures to tell to the habitants of Lilliput, so ofcourse he makes up stories similar to movies such as Titanic, Star Wars and others. He even brought other stuff to Lilliput including Gravatar which is the Gulliver’s version of Avatar, G-Pad which is his version of the iPad, the guy practically turned Lilliput into modern day New York.

Well its approximately one hour and thirty minutes of Family Fun and Laughter. I didn’t really tell you all about what happened because I didn’t want to spoil the fun if you decide to go see, Gulliver’s Travels. There are a few memorable jokes that I will be remembering for a while, especially when he gave Horatio tips how to court the princess.

I have been seeing the previews for Paranormal Activity 3 for sometime as it is now in theatres, the previews were really saying “please go see”, and because of that, I decided to get Paranormal Activity 2 on DVD. It starts off as a home video, so I thought it was a real event, but was a bit in doubt so I went Google Searching and I found out that the entire thing was staged and acted. Unfortunately they pulled in a whopping 168,000,000 from a budget of 3,000,000. Kudos to Paramount Pictures, you all took a bag of garbage and made gold from it, more power to you guys.

You know what really sucks is the fact that after the movie starts and not much action happens, I still kept hoping that the action would start soon. I kept waiting and waiting, its like looking at (people I have never seen before) home videos. Just about 20 minutes into the DVD I got impatience and started to use my power of fast forward which was bestowed onto me by the mighty DVD remote control. Even though it was staged the only Paranormal Activity I saw was when “The Pool Clean” came out the pool, when the wife got pulled from upstairs and down into the basement , and the spirits pulled the baby into the air and lift him out the crib.

I am sure with a three million dollar budget, Paramount and the Directors could have came up with better stuff/ staged Paranormal Tricks with a budget like that. I guess part one was way better or else so many people wouldn’t have went out and saw part two. Seeing part two has really killed the urge I had to go see Paranormal Activity 3. But what am gonna do is go and get part 1 and probably that will build back the expectations I had to go and see the one in theaters now.

Before my flight on December 1st to Charlotte, North Carolina I was a bit reluctant about traveling with an airline that I have never been on before. What started the whole paranoid phase is the fact that I did some research on the company before I flew, after searching for flights to Charlotte on Expedia for the first of december, the search results came back displaying three airlines, AirTran at the top, Delta Airlines at second place and United Airlines. Well I booked with AirTran Airways because it was the cheapest at $500+ even though it was a connecting flight with a layover time of only 1hours and 30 minutes at the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta (the busiest airport in America).

After booking my ticket, I went on Wikipedia and start searching for AirTran and the results I found started the paranoia of traveling with AirTran. I found out that AirTran is one of the youngest commercial airlines in operation and they started out as ValuJet, the same company which had a plane crash back in the late 90′s, one of their planes went down in the Florida everglades killing all the passengers onboard. That would probably scare anybody from flying but after thinking about it, I realize that most popular Airline companies has had their fair share of issues, for example an American Airlines flight cleared the runway at the Norman Manley Airport a few months back and was headed for the sea, plus US Airways had to fish one of their plane from the Hudson River back in 2009.

When I boarded on the date of travel my first impression was good enough for me to get rid of the paranoia that had implanted itself in my head. The seats on the plane alone helped to change my mind, this was my 12th time traveling on an aircraft and comparing to US Airways, Spirit and Air Jamaica, these are the most comfortable coach seats I have even been in. To top it off, I got even more comfortable when I found out that the Airline was offering Free WiFi and Free XM Radio on all their flights throughout the holiday season. I had the most comfortable and enjoyable flight from Montego Bay to Atlanta and it was no different on the flight from Atlanta to Charlotte.

Please take into consideration that not all passengers will have great stuff to say about AirTran because I know it maybe a bad experience for me on my return trip, I just hope they don’t beat the record of bad experiences I had with Spirit Airlines, they have been my worst encounter yet.

If you haven’t seen the movie called Skyline as yet, its basically ‘War of the World’ all over again. The only difference is that the story line is a little different and they entire movie is based in a penthouse somewhere in Los Angeles, while aliens clean the city by abducting all the humans to harvest their brains. Although I just said it was ‘War of the World’ all over again, atleast I give War of the World way more ratings than this new movie.

I don’t really know about you but I like to see completed movies, tell me the entire story or don’t tell me nothing at all. Movies that tells half of a story kinda pisses me off, kinda like that time I was so pumped about going to see ‘The Last Airbender‘ and went I saw the movies, it turned out that they only made the movie based on season 1 of the nickelodeon cartoon ‘The Avatar’. I guess the film makers do that so they can always come with a part II and we all run to the theater and they make the big bucks at the box office. I must admit that the graphics and special effects are really realistic but what am saying is that they should have let the audience know if the aliens completely conquered earth, did the guy that turned alien defeated the attacking aliens and safed his pregnant girlfriend, what! I went to the movies to see an Action/ Sci-Fi movie not a suspense movie, so don’t do that again (if any of the directors are ever searching online for reviews of the movie and come upon this post.) If you are actually a director reading this post, email me I have a ton of ideas for a movie. Haha please don’t think am an opportunist am just trying to get my ideas out of this mega brain of mine or so I claim.

Overall I think Skyline was good and any Sci-Fi fans will click like on their Facebook fan page but I really didn’t like the ending and that’s my conclusion. Do you think otherwise, then voice your thoughts in the comment section below.
