The new Apple iPhone 4 was officially sold yesterday with over 1.5 Million units sold on the first day and already users are reporting that they are experiencing reception issues with the anticipated smartphone.
Many online critics are asking “How did Apple miss this reception issue”, however Apple has responded to the concerns of some users facing the poor reception issue. It is said that Apple has issued a statement advising users to “avoid gripping it in the lower left corner in a way that covers both sides of the black strip in the metal band, or simply use one of many available cases,”
The other section of the issued statement stresses that the antenna placement on the device can cause a reception issue in any cell phone and not just the iPhone 4. They made it clear that Gripping any mobile phone will result in some attenuation of its antenna performance, with certain places being worse than others depending on the placement of the antennas.
As Steve Jobs stated in the issued Statement “Just avoid holding it in that way.” and all should be ok. Users can also buy one of the many available cases for the iPhone 4.
