I guess most of your guys have come to know the name Twitter over the past few months and has been using it as apart of their everyday online life. So far alot of us know that it can be used to update your friends, drive traffic to your website/blog, marketing tool but did you know that it can be used to make money while you update your friends?

But before I get to that part of this post let me just give you some brief history on the social media site that is creating waves on the internet right now.

Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read other users’ updates known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length which are displayed on the user’s profile page and delivered to other users who have subscribed to them (known as followers).

Just a few days ago I introduced some of the most popular social media / social bookmarkers that gives the best traffic to blogs. Now I am here just to share with you how you can make submitting your articles to these social site a much easier task. If you are using Wordpress as your blog platform then you are in no worries because there are many plugins to help with this process. As usual I will be telling you about the ones I have experience with.

Here is one of the coolest plugin (to me that is), it is called Sociofluid and can be downloaded from here. It is an Plugin that gives you or your readers the option of submitting your articles to numerous amount of Social Sites, some that you haven’t even heard of. Once the plugin is activated you will get the option of displaying the animated icons on your Frontpage or on each post. Its pretty cool, you can see it in action on my gadget blog below each post.

There is also TweetThis! It is a plugin that gives readers the option of tweeting your article on their profile and sharing it with their friends. If you scroll to the bottom of this page you will see the Tweet This button give it a test by tweeting this article and sharing it with your friends.

Getting traffic to your blog is one the major problems every blogger face at the beginning. But do what I do, make social media work for you. It won’t give you a million hits per day but you will surely see a difference in the amount of visitor/readers that comes to your blog.

There are many social media websites out there that will drive traffic to your blog, but the thing is that I am not familiar with all of them, but I will certainly share the ones that I am familiar with. Just in case are new to this thing or you were hiding somewhere under a rock, let me explain what is a social media website.

Social Media Websites are made with people in mind, it is where people can share articles, videos and even photos with other readers, basically its somewhere to discover and share content from anywhere on the Internet. How this is done? I started this website in Decemeber of 2008 and it may be surprising to you but I am not getting much traffic to this blog as yet, Why? Because I have been so busy with my Web Development Company, but now I have finished most of the projects that was taking my time away from me. So I am here to tell me few readers how to build High Traffic to their blogs.

If you should search the internet right now on “tips on getting high blog traffic” you will come up on numberous articles telling you how to build traffic, some will be telling you tips and all sort of tricks but what you don’t know is that those tricks can get you banned from search engines and end up in what is called Google’s “Supplemental Results”

What is Supplemental Results
Google’s Supplemental Results is a secondary database where they put web pages of less importance. They determine this by looking on your blog for stuff like “too much similar text on each page”, “redirect links” or even if you copy content from other blogs to yours.

Building High Traffic
Now here is how you can build high traffic without the worries. Now lets get down to the ways of building traffic.

1. Create original content.
So far all post on this blog expect one is original, I really don’t like re-post blog entries because I just don’t like the Idea of it, it takes more to produce your own content but look at the long term gold. When you have original content, readers who find your blog will stay longer reading and search engine will give you preferred listing.

2. Create valuable content.
Before you start blogging each day, sit for a moment and do a little thinking before you start typing. Ask yourself: Is the content I am about to publish worth reading? Think about the effect you want the article/post to have on whoever reads it. If you don’t have valuable content to offer to your readers, then really and truely you have no need for high traffic to your blog.

3. Write for your Readers First and then Search Engine last.
Some Bloggers write with the Search Engine Optimization in mind because they want ranking more than everything else. Instead of posting frequently, but write for your readers first and let computers not be your top priority.
