I may not be a blogging mastermind as yet but I know that with a good search engine ranking your blog could see some real serious traffic. When it comes to blogging, I started about 1 year and some months now but only took it seriously since last September so I am no pro at blogging.
However I have been doing Search Engine Marketing for clients for the past 3 1/2 years so I know some real important stuff on this topic. Below you will find a list of 10 important Search Engine facts, that search engines like Google, Yahoo and Msn looks for when ranking your blog or website. See more after the break
10 Search Engine Factors
1. Quality of the content (well written, informative, not duplicate) search engine ranking check list.png
2. Keywords in the title of the page
3. Quality (PR) of the backlinks
4. Keywords in domain name
5. Keywords in alt text for the images
6. Headings of the page (h1, h2, h3, etc.)
7. Duplicate content from other sources (negative effect)
8. External links on your pages should not be too much

Same thing applies to your blog. You have optimized your blog for the search engines but still no traffic right. The thing is that Google and other search engines will not rank your blog by your content alone. If you want to know some of the details they look for before they rank your blog you can look at our previous post about search engines. [...]
